Hide AdA spokesman said: “Formal identification has not taken place, but the family of Craig Reid who went missing on 18 April have been made aware. “There is no further information at this time and enquiries are ongoing.”
A massive search operation took place in waters around Orkney after Mr Reid went missing.
An investigation into the incident is currently being carried out by the Marine Accidents Investigation Branch.
Mr Reid’s family has since launched a campaign to raise funds for the RNLI and have already donated £2,500 to the Kessock lifeboat crew.
It is the second time the Inverness-registered Apollo has been involved in a sea tragedy after William Reid, 26, a cousin of Craig, died after falling from the trawler into the North Sea in 2007.
