Man rushed to hospital after being found ‘seriously unwell’ in wooded area near Airdrie

A man has been rushed to hospital after being found ‘seriously unwell’ on Meikle Drumgray Road, Airdrie.

Police were called to the scene around 8.40am on Monday, April 12 and the man was taken to Monklands Hospital.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 8.40 am on Monday, 12 April, 2021, a 53-year-old man was found lying seriously unwell in wooded area near to Meikle Drumgray Road, Greengairs, Airdrie.

“He was taken by ambulance to University Hospital, Monklands.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish how he came to be there.”
