Man in hospital after being 'slashed' during serious assault at Scottish pub

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A man is in hospital with serious injuries after being ‘slashed’ during an attack in a pub.

The 35-year-old was assaulted in the Harbour Bar in Templehill, Toon, on Thursday at about 8.45pm.

A 29-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.

A police spokesman said: “The injured man was taken to Ayr Hospital where he was treated for a laceration then later released.

“The 29-year-old man is due before Ayr Sheriff Court on Friday. A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
