Man found with serious injuries being treated as attempted murder in Glasgow

Police in Glasgow are appealing for witnesses after a man was found seriously injured in Slatefield Street.

The 44-year old man was found at 00.20am on Sunday, May 10 and police have established that the man may have been assaulted in this area or near to Comley Park Street between 11.10pm and 11.20pm on Saturday night.

The man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where his injuries have been described as serious.

CCTV in the area has captured five men who were in the vicinity at the time and the police are eager to speak to them.

They are described as all wearing dark clothing.

Detective Sergeant Chris Lafferty of Shettleston Police said: “We are carrying out extensive enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding what is being treated as an attempted murder, to trace whoever is responsible.

“Our enquiries are ongoing but we are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen anything or who was in the area at the time and may have seen five men in dark clothing as they may be able to assist with our investigation.”
