A man has been found dead in a property on the Isle of Lewis.

The 48-year-old was found at Macmillan Brae in Stornoway on Monday morning.

Officers are treating the death as unexplained and an investigation is ongoing.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police Scotland was made aware of the sudden death of a 48-year-old man within a property at Macmillan Brae in Stornoway around 8.45am on Monday May 11, 2020.

"The death is currently being treated as unexplained and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
