Man dies after firearms incident in Airdrie

A man has died following a firearms incident in Airdrie.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident in Gartness Drive at around 8.10pm on Thursday.

A man was found with serious injuries and pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
