Man charged after allegedly defecating in an Aberdeen communal garden

Police said the man would appear at the Sheriff Court at a later date.

The hunt for a man who allegedly defecated in a public garden in Aberdeen has ended in an arrest.

Police in the city confirmed that they have arrested and charged a 45-year old man in connection with the incident, which took place at around 11:30am on Sunday, May 17, in a large park space in the College Bounds area.

The man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

Detective Sergeant Lesley Clark said: "There has been a significant public response to this incident and I would like to thank everybody who assisted with our enquiries."
