Man arrested in Fife after being found carrying bladed weapon

Police in Fife have arrested a man in connection with reports of an individual in possession of a knife.

Police received the call late on Friday afternoon and attended the scene at Waverly Drive, Glenrothes.

They proceeded to identify the 28-year-old suspect, then arrest and charge him.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.30pm on Friday, February, 19, police received a report of a man in possession of a knife in Waverley Drive, Glenrothes.

"Officers attended and a 28-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with this incident.”

The man will appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date and full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
