Man arrested after 'stealing' ambulance during 30 mile police chase in Scotland

A man has been arrested after an ambulance was reportedly stolen while parked outside a house providing assistance.

The vehicle was allegedly seized in Kemnay, Aberdeenshire today and driven more than 30 miles to Dufftown, Moray, where it was stopped by police.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing.

A police spokesman said: "Around 6.20am on Wednesday, 18 November, 2020, an ambulance was stolen from outside an address in Kemnay, near Inverurie.

"Following a pursuit by officers, the vehicle was stopped near Dufftown.”
