Linthaugh Road: 'Targeted attack' on two vehicles in Glasgow launches police investigation

A ‘targeted attack’ has resulted in two vehicle fires and property damage on a Glasgow street.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident which took place on Linthaugh Road at around 4.45am, Friday, November 6.

Emergency services were called to the scene and the fires were extinguished.

Nobody was injured in the incident but substantial damage was caused to a blue BMW 1 series and a white VW Tiguan as well as a nearby property.

Detective Constable Paul McKenna said: “We believe this was a targeted attack which caused substantial damage to two vehicles, and we are thankful that no one was injured.

"There were two vehicles driving in the area around the time of the fire and we are keen to trace the occupants.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident number 0500 of November 6.
