Kilmarnock incidents: Tributes pour in for mother and daughter killed in Kilmarnock
NHS worker Emma Robertson Coupland, 39, was stabbed outside Crosshouse Hospital at around 7.45pm.
She received medical attention but died at the scene.


Her daughter, Nicole Anderson, 24, was then stabbed twenty minutes later on Portland Street.

Hide AdEmergency services attended and she was taken to Crosshouse Hospital where she later died.
Tributes for the mother and daughter have be pouring in across social media as the news of the tragedy breaks.

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon wrote: “Dreadful news.
"My thoughts are with the bereaved.
"Thinking too of everyone at Crosshouse Hospital, already dealing with the tough circumstances of Covid.
"I’m also grateful to our emergency services. Please continue to follow Police Scotland advice.”
The PM’s deputy spokesman commented: “The Prime Minister’s thoughts are with all those involved and he thanks the police and health care staff for their response.”

Hide AdIn a related incident, a 40-year-old man died in a car crash on the C50, a road between the B7036 and the A76 after the stabbing of Nicole and Emma.
Police have said that they are not looking for anyone else as part of their investigation.
