Glasgow man stabbed to death

POLICE have launched a murder inquiry after a man was found stabbed to death in a Glasgow street in the early hours yesterday.

The body of Gary Logue, from Pollokshields, was discovered in Elderpark Street in Govan at about 4:10am. He had suffered multiple stab wounds.

He was taken by ambulance to Southern General hospital, but was dead on arrival.

The victim’s age has not been disclosed, and a post-mortem examination was being carried out yesterday evening.

Strathclyde Police said they received an anonymous call informing them a man was lying in the street, and have urged anyone with any information to come forward.

Detective Inspector Fergus Hutcheson, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are trying to establish circumstances surrounding this death.”
