Glasgow assault: A 13-year-old boy has been assaulted by a man in Croftpark Avenue

Police are appealing for information to help trace the man seen hitting the boy.

A 13-year-old boy has been assaulted in Croftpark Avenue in Glasgow.

The incident took place around 8:45am on Friday, August 21.

Police are appealing for information to help trace the man seen hitting the boy.

Police are looking for a man in his 30s with a medium build, around 5ft 9inch tall with a shaved head and a beard.

He was wearing a dark jacket, a red t-shirt and black trousers.

The boy and the man are known to one another, and they had both been in a navy blue Ford Focus before the assault.

They walked up Croftpark together after the boy was hit.

Officers are appealing for witnesses as well as checking the CCTV in the area.

Detective Constable Dan Hood said: I am appealing to people who were in the area at the time of the incident who may have seen what happened.

“There are two schools in the area and people may have been collecting their children from school.

“Any small piece of information could prove significant so please do pass it on to us.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1254 of August 26.
