Fraser in court over murder

A MAN appeared in court yesterday accused of murdering his wife more than 13 years ago.

Nat Fraser, 52, is charged with assaulting Arlene Fraser, compressing her neck and strangling her at her home at Smith Street in Elgin, Moray, or elsewhere in Scotland between 28 April and 7 May, 1998, or assaulting and murdering her by other means. It is alleged he did so while acting with one or more unknown persons.

Fraser is accused of murdering his wife knowing she had consulted a solicitor about getting a divorce and obtaining a financial settlement from him.
