Fears are growing over the welfare of a heavily pregnant woman who has not been seen in several days.

Police Scotland said it is concerned for the safety and wellbeing of Kirstie Allen, from Windygates and Levenmouth area of Fife.

The force said Ms Allen is heavily pregnant and has not been seen for a number of days. Her whereabouts are unknown.

It added that she has only stayed in the area for around 18 months, having moved from the north west of England, and that she does have many known friends or associates in the Fife area.

The force said anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Ms Allen should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference 2305 of 24 August.
