Falkirk death: Man, 35, charged after 39-year-old man found dead in Bo'ness property with serious injuries following 'altercation'

A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged after a 39-year-old man was found dead at a Falkirk property, following an ‘altercation.’

Emergency services were called to a report of a 39-year-old man seriously injured at a home in Dumpark Avenue, Bo’ness on Saturday afternoon, April 17.

Police and ambulance services attended, however, the injured man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police confirmed that a 35-year-old man is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday April 19.

It is not yet clear how the dead man was injured during the altercation.

A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal, according to Police Scotland.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 39-year-old man in Bo’ness on Saturday, 17 April, 2021.

“Around 2pm on Saturday, 17 April, officers were called to a report of a 39-year-old man seriously injured following an altercation within a house in Drumpark Avenue, Bo’ness.

"Police and ambulance attended and the 39-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"The 35-year-old man is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, 19 April.

"A full report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal."
