'Extremely traumatic' - Woman, 28, verbally abused by youths using sexualised language during attack near Falkirk Wheel

A 28-year-old woman was attacked and verbally abused by a group of youths as she walked along the canal path close to the Falkirk Wheel visitor centre.

Police said the woman was approached by four males and two females - aged between 11 and 20 - who abused her using sexualised language and assaulted her at around 6:45pm on Wednesday, August 12. Two of the youths were on black and white bikes.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: "This incident was extremely traumatic for the victim and police are keen to identify those responsible."
