Police name woman found dead at Edinburgh property as man is arrested
A woman who died following a disturbance at a property in Edinburgh has been named by police as 44-year-old Vikki Soloman.
Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to a property in Craigievar Square in the East Craigs area of the city at around 8.45pm on Monday.
Upon arrival, Ms Soloman was found to have sustained serious injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers confirmed that her family have been informed and are being supported.
Police Scotland confirmed on Tuesday morning that a 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
A spokesman added that inquiries are ongoing.
Following the heavy emergency response in the usually quiet East Craigs, the force moved to reassure residents. They stated that there is no risk to the wider public, though a high-visibility police presence will remain in the local area over the coming days as investigations are carried out.
A significant cordon was put in place following the disturbance. The property in Craigievar Square was taped off, with an ambulance pictured parked outside the address.
Police activity also centred on a second location nearby. Multiple police vehicles were seen surrounding a local pub, understood to be the Mid Yoken.
Images from the scene showed the perimeter of the public house cordoned off with police tape, with uniformed officers standing on guard outside the building.
Both the residential address and the nearby public house remained sealed off throughout Tuesday as forensic officers and detectives continued to comb the respective scenes to establish the full circumstances of the incident.

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been approached for further information regarding its response.
Appealing for information, Detective Inspector Mark McGraw said: “Our thoughts and condolences are with Vikki’s family, who have requested privacy at this difficult time.
“A police presence will remain in the area while enquiries continue and to provide reassurance.
"Anyone with information or concerns can speak to our officers out on patrol or contact Police Scotland on 101.”
