Dylan Irvine: Aberdeenshire police apologise after telling wrong family about teen’s car crash death

Police have apologised to the family of a teenager from Aberdeenshire after they were told he had died in a car crash on Monday.

The 18-year-old, who has not been named, was seriously injured in an accident on the A90 between Crimond and the St Fergus Gas Terminal, Aberdeenshire, at 7:30am.

But it was 19-year-old Dylan Irvine who was killed in the same crash.
