Body found in search for missing Glasgow man

A body has been found in search for a missing man.

Joseph Duffy, 39, was reported missing from his home in Newlands around three weeks ago.

During a search for him, a male body was found in the River Clyde in Glasgow near Pointhouse Place.

There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances around the death.

A spokesman for the force said: "Formal identification is still to take place but the family of 39-year-old Joseph Duffy, who was reported missing from Glasgow on April 11, have been informed.

"There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
