Bannockburn: Man arrested in connection with a spate of housebreaking

A man has been arrested in connection with a spate of housebreaking and thefts in the town of Bannockburn and the surrounding area.

The incidents took place between December 31 and January 3 where the police received reports of housebreaking and thefts from vehicles.

A 28 year old male has been identified and traced by the Priority Crime Team, and the substantial amount of stolen property has been returned to it’s owners.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “We can confirm that 28 year old male has been identified and traced by the Priority Crime Team, and is the subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.

“A substantial amount of stolen property has also been recovered and returned to their respective owners.

“We would like to thank the public for the information provided that quickly led to the identification and apprehension of the offender.”
