Arrest made following Niddrie bomb scare

An arrest has been made after a bomb squad was called to an address in Niddrie House Square. Picture; Google

Bomb disposal units were deployed to the scene with surrounding homes also evacuated as a precuationary measure. 
Specialist engineers from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal established it was not be a viable device and that it posed no threat to the public.
