Police inquiries continue at Livingston property in 'ongoing investigation'

Police officers are continuing inquiries at a property in Livingston following their arrival this morning.

Officers have been at the scene all day in connection with an ‘ongoing investigation’.

The update comes after residents reported armed police at a property in Queens Crescent from around 10am today (Sunday).

An eyewitness told the Evening News: “I just saw the uniformed officers standing there in front of a flat, it looks like specialist firearms officers. There was also a helicopter over the area for around 20 minutes but it has gone now. This has been ongoing for a while.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Officers are in attendance in the Queens Crescent area of Livingston in connection with an ongoing investigation. There is no wider risk to the public."

It is understood a man was taken from the property shortly after midday.
