Appeal launched following assault in Scottish town

Officers are appealing for information following an assault in a town in the Borders.

The attack happened in Melrose Road near to the junction with Hawthorn Road, Galashiels, between 8.25pm and 8.45pm yesterday (May 20).

Police are looking to talk to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.

A police spokesman said: “Anybody who may information that may be able to assist with our enquiry are asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 4015 20th May 2020.
