Police Scotland is renewing an appeal for witnesses after a teenage girl was approached by a man in Aberdeen.

The girl was on Mid Stocket Road, near to Raeden Park Road, Aberdeen around 11.20am on Saturday, 16 May, when police said she was approached by a small black car.

The male occupant of the car tried to engage her in conversation before driving off, and police said no physical contact was made.

The car was a black three door hatchback, and possibly had rear tinted windows.

Police now say it travelled along Argyll Place, onto Mid Stocket Road where the incident occurred. It then turned off before North Anderson Drive.

The driver was black and aged between 20 and 30 years old.

Detective Sergeant Craig Currie said: “I would like to thank the community for their assistance in this investigation and renew our appeal for any witnesses who were in the area and may have saw this car and the occupant.

“We do not yet know what this man's intentions were, however his conduct was of sufficient concern to contact police.

“I would also be keen to speak with any motorists who may have being driving in the area at the time of the incident and have dashcam footage that may assist with our investigation.”
