Aberdeen incident: Armed police cordon off Aberdeen street to deal with disturbance

Armed police and specialist officers have locked down an Aberdeen street as they deal with a “disturbance”.

Police Scotland says there is no wider threat to the community, however, some roads around Lemon Street are closed while they deal with the incident.

At around 9.30pm on Thursday, May 6, North East Police division reported that specialist officers, including armed police, were dealing with the incident.

Park Street is shut between Park Road roundabout and Constitution Street.

Police Scotland has thanked the public for their patience.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police are currently dealing with a disturbance in the Lemon Street area of Aberdeen and are being supported by specialist officers.

"The incident is contained and there is no wider threat to the local community.

"Park Street is shut between Park Road roundabout and Constitution Street and the public are thanked for their patience."
