DC Thomson recalls magazine over exposed metal edges in free gift - here’s what you should know
DC Thomson Media is recalling an issue of The Official Jacqueline Wilson Magazine due to a possible safety risk with the magazine’s free gift.
The magazine’s “cute kitty” keychain charm presents a “risk which could result in exposed metal edges”, according to the UK’s trading standards website, and DC Thomson.
However, the Scottish publishing and television production company revealed that after testing, the item was “found compliant with all relevant legislation”.

The safety notice on the company’s website states “We have identified a risk of breakage where the charm may split in two which could result in exposed metal edges and present a safety risk.”
