5. Glasgow Botanic Gardens
The first entry for Scotland's largest city comes courtesy of the Glasgow Botanic Gardens, which is home to the ornate Victorian Kibble Palace glasshouse. Doughnut00 said: "We had American friends over and took a wander into the Botanics. They were stunned by the glasshouses and it was great for us to see it through the eyes of tourists. You forget how beautiful and stunning the park is and right in the heart of the West End. Then a wander down the river and along to the walkway. Couldn't be better." Photo: Canva/Getty Images

7. Pollok Country Park
Containing the newly-reopened Burrell Collection museum, Glasgow's Pollok Country has over 360 acres of woodland, walking trails, lakes, rivers and gardens. Little God said: "This park is a lovely place to visit. It seems incredible that there could be such a big green space within a large city. Within the grounds are cattle, a pond and even a little waterfall on the river. Also, most of the paths are wheelchair-accessible." Photo: Canva/Getty Images

8. Dunvegan Castle and Gardens
