Auld Hagg - a Scottish cafe and deli based in London - will be popping up in Glasgow over the late May bank holiday weekend.

On Sunday 26 May, Naked Soup on Kersland Street in Glasgow’s west end, will play host to Auld Hagg and a selection of their homemade pies and drinks as well as music from Glasgow DJ Bessa.

Pies will include: Angus beef shoulder and haggis, chicken tikka masala and four Scottish mac and cheese.

Posting on their social media about the collaboration, the Naked Soup  team wrote: “It’s been 3 years since we last welcomed @auldhag_ to Naked Soup. Since then, they’ve opened the Shoap down in London and we can’t wait to have them back for round 2.

“Sunday May 26th, from 5pm (bank holiday weekend). Pies & Pints. Music by @bessa. No bookings. First come, first served. See you on the 26th!”

Auld Hagg is the brainchild of Gregg Boyd, who started the business as a side project delivering haggis, neeps and tatties  in London during the pandemic.

After a series of pop up, and cooking for Scotland House, he worked on opening a permanent base for Auld Hagg, or ‘the shoap’ as it’s affectionately known.

It opened last year, and serves classic Scottish food, such as morning rolls and square sausage and pies, as well as Tennent’s on tap and Irn Bru. It also stocks a range of goods from small Scottish suppliers.

Naked Soup has been a mainstay of the west end for over 10 years, and recently started opening late for drinks.
