A pub in a coastal town has been named the best in the South of Scotland.
The accolade was given to Prestwick’s Vic’s bar at the National Pub & Bar Awards earlier this year.
Organised by leading trade magazine Pub & Bar, the awards recognise “pioneering hospitality operators [who] demonstrate excellence across a number of elements that affect the customer journey, including design, service, style of offer, marketing and investment.”
Owned by the Buzzworks hospitality group, the bar was refurbished back in 2019 and has gone from strength-to-strength ever since.
From a weekly pub quiz and regular music nights, to themed brunches and seven big screens for viewing the biggest sporting occasions, there’s always something on.
Here are 11 pictures showing why it is so special.

Vic's is one of the few places that serves Tennent's Tank Lager - unpasteurised beer that's delivered straight from the Glasgow brewery and poured from huge copper tanks. | Vic's
