1. A stunning stronghold

2. A house of power

3. Abandoned after a Jacobite war
The castle remained the base of the mighty Campbells of Glenorchy for 150 years. After the first Jacobite Rising of 1689, Kilchurn was converted into a garrison stronghold, but was abandoned by the end of the 1700s. | Other 3rd Party Photo: Matt Cartney/HES
4. A 1745 watchtower
