Coronavirus in Scotland: Almost a thousand new reported cases of the virus as the death toll rises

The Scottish Government has released the latest coronavirus statistics across the country.

There have been 994 new positive cases of coronavirus recorded in Scotland in the last 24 hours.

There are 1,952 patients in hospital after testing positive for the virus and 142 patients in intensive care.

Since yesterday, 60 more deaths have been recorded.

543,370 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination and 7,638 have received their second dose.
