Andrew pulls purse strings

A DIRECTOR at the Scottish Legal Aid Board is to take control of the purse strings at Heriot-Watt University.

Andrew Menzies has been named the university’s director of finance and will take up his post in late autumn. He has spent the last ten years at the legal aid board.

He said: “I am really excited about the opportunity to contribute to the future of such a progressive, ambitious and successful university. I am joining a great team and look forward to working with them and to delivering excellent finance services and leadership at Heriot-Watt.”

Ann Marie Dalton, secretary of the university, said: “I am delighted that we have recruited someone of Andrew’s expertise and experience.”
