On the move: Latest appointments and promotions

Law firm Anderson Strathern has hired Robbie Wilson as a senior associate specialising in medical negligence to join its healthcare team.

The firm has been rated number one in Scotland in medical negligence for more than three decades. Wilson joins the firm from Drummond Miller and is based in the eight-strong healthcare team, working alongside Robert Carr, the firm’s chairman and a medical negligence accredited specialist.

KPMG is targeting growth in its enterprise team in Scotland with two director appointments. Craig Cavin has been appointed head of enterprise consulting at KPMG in Scotland and Ross Marshall joins as a tax director. Both Cavin and Marshall will be based in Glasgow and their recruitment marks a “significant” expansion of KPMG’s enterprise team in Scotland, which was launched in October 2014 to support the growth of privately-owned businesses. During his 13 years in London and overseas, Cavin held senior operational and financial roles as chief executive and chief financial officer with a number of international organisations.

Dalhousie Castle, part of the Robert Parker Collection of hotels, has announced the appointment of Mark Rawlings-Lloyd as general manager. He joins Dalhousie Castle from Eshott Hall, a boutique Northumberland country house also part of the RP Collection. With a “solid reputation for excellence”, Rawlings-Lloyd is a highly experienced hotelier, and has spent more than 30 years in the hotel industry. He has worked in a number of five-star corporate and private sector hotels.

Chris O’Brien has been appointed destination manager for the Outdoor Capital of the UK, the tourism destination brand for Fort William and Lochaber. O’Brien is an experienced digital marketing and public relations professional. Under the Outdoor Capital of the UK brand, Lochaber Chamber of Commerce publicise, sponsor and promote the area as a tourism destination.

Accountancy firm French Duncan has appointed a new director to drive forward its online and cloud-based services. The firm – which employs more than 200 staff and has five offices in Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Dumbarton and Hamilton – has taken on Andrew Guy as its IT director. Before joining French Duncan he spent 19 years at Top 20 chartered accountancy firm Kingston Smith LLP.
