Murray picks Highland firm for his hotel tills

WIMBLEDON champion Andy Murray and the Royal & Ancient golf club in St Andrews have each picked an Inverness-based firm to supply IT systems. ICR Solutions is providing ten tills for Murray’s site at Cromlix Hotel, in Dunblane and an IT system for golf’s governing body.

Managing director Alan Murphy said: “Sport is certainly serving us well. Our installation of ten tills at Andy Murray’s Cromlix Hotel is worth an initial £40,000. The R&A contract is worth £100,000 to us and allows them faster access to their members’ information and postcodes. Our initial relationship has been so successful that it has referred the Botanical Gardens in St Andrews to us as a client.”

ICR is also supplying tills for the six restaurants owned by the Glasshouse chain, run by Alex Knight, husband of television presenter Carol Smillie. The chain consists of The Kitchen and Mustard Seed in Inverness, River House in Stirling, and Grill House, Glass House and Doll’s House, all in St Andrews.
