Asda tops up its range of Scottish craft beers
The Walmart-owned retailer said that as a result of adding the likes of WooHa Brewing Company, Loch Lomond Brewing and West Brewery, its stores north of the Border will now stock more than 75 Scottish beers, ales and ciders.
Brian O’Shea, Asda’s regional buying manager for Scotland, highlighted the growth of the craft beer market and said: “The new lines we have launched are all premium quality and will give customers a new more local choice.”

Hide AdChris Miller, director at the Craft Beer Clan of Scotland, which helped the supermarket join forces with nine of the brewers, said: “To be able to bring so many new brand listings to the supermarket stores across Scotland has been a great opportunity as we continue to build on Scotland’s reputation as a world-class producer of drink.”
Heather McDonald, owner of WooHa, added: “Although we’re currently one of the youngest microbreweries in Scotland, having just celebrated our first anniversary, this new deal is a great example of the commitment to supporting Scottish suppliers no matter how big or small.”
