Pop-up market in Shawlands, every first and last Sunday of the month. Browse a range of boutique stalls from some of your local favourites and beyond, as well as food court with a selection of hot/ cold, meat and vegan friendly delights. Choral Society

Come and join the vibrant mixed voice adult choir of the Eastwood Choral Society. All voices welcome. No auditions required. The repertoire is largely choral and classical, with concerts twice a year. Bring a mug for break time tea and biscuits! Wine Circle

Stamperland Wine Circle welcomes new members who have an interest in understanding more about wine and the enjoyment associated with it.

Club members enjoy tastings, displays by leading distributors and the matching of different wines to certain kinds of food. There will be demonstrations on how to make wine and an opportunity to chat about to making your own very drinkable varieties. Times journalist and broadcaster Graham Spiers talks to Archie MacPherson at Eastwood Park Theatre at 7.30pm. Macpherson’s broadcasting and writing career spans more than 50 years. A former teacher who rose to prominence at BBC Scotland in the 1960s, becoming one of Britain’s most recognisable football presenters and commentators.


Join Dino Martino and some of the best singers and entertainers in Barrhead at The Kelburn Bar for Friday night Karaoke from 8pm until midnight.

Birthday celebrations

Ae Fond Kiss

Rabbie is your guide with quirky commentary, amusing and poignant interaction and renditions of famous poems and songs including Ae Fond Kiss, Red Red Rose, Auld Lang Syne and many more. The show is a great way to get to know more about the life, loves and genius of Scotland’s Bard. At Eastwood Park Theatre at 7.30pm.

Creepy Crafting

Join the Whitelee Countryside Rangers in the run up to Halloween and carve your own pumpkin or turnip to scare the spirits. From 12-4pm at Whitelee Windfarm Visitor Centre, Eaglesham.

Charity quiz night

Quiz hosted by Tam from Still Game (Mark Cox) with all proceeds will go towards supporting Scottish Action For Refugees (SAFR), a local grassroots charity providing assistance to newly arrived refugees and asylum seekers in Glasgow and beyond. Entry charge is per person, max 6 per team. Starts at 7pm.
