Launched in the USA in 2015, Shudder is a streaming service dedicated to horror films that arrived in the UK in October 2016.
It offers hundreds of films and series to horror-heads for £4.99-a-month and also has it’s own rating system - marking movies out of five skulls according to users’ reviews.
Shudder subscribers are notoriously hard to please, with many classics like ‘Society’ and ‘Pieces’ only attracting four skulls.
We’ve had a tour of the archive to see which films have managed to score a perfect ranking on the UK site.

5. Revenge
If ever a film delivered upon its title, then it's Coralie Fargeat's 2017 movie 'Revenge'. A woman is raped and left for dead in the desert by three men. When she recovers she sets out to enact bloody justice on the criminals. The French film isn't shy to show violence, more than earning its 18 certificate, but offers a refreshingly intelligent feminist take on the revenge genre. 6. Tigers Are Not Afraid
Not just one of the best horrors of the last 10 years, 'Tigers Are Not Afraid' is one of the best films of any type released in the last decade. The Mexican film is a dark fairy tale set in the criminal underworld of Mexico's drug cartels, where five children are trying to survive the ghosts created by the unending violence. | Contributed
7. The Day of the Beast
This highly-acclaimed Spanish horror won Álex de la Iglesia the Goya (the Spanish Oscars) for Best Director. 'The Day of the Beast' sees a priest tyring to stop the antichrist being born in Madrid with the help of a heavy metal fan and a fraudulent occultist. 8. Vicious Fun
This Canadian horror comedy is the very definition of bloody fun and has a killer setup. 'Vicious Fun' sees a sniffy horror critic accidentally join a self help group for seriel killers. Violence ensures. | Contributed
