Dame Kristin Scott Thomas stars in John Lewis’ 20th Christmas advert, which features Sam Fender covering The Rolling Stones.
The BAFTA-winning actress plays Gloria, a loving grandmother who is struggling to connect with her grandchildren. After first tucking some money in a card for them, rolling dog toy Pickles comes to life - voiced by Paul Whitehouse - to guide her into instead creating a fun cave for them all to spend some time together on Christmas.
After a few Christmas adverts without a traditional cover, John Lewis this year recruited Fender to cover You Can’t Always Get What You Want to accompany the new story.
Here are all of the best cover songs from John Lewis adverts over the years, from Lily Allen’s take on Somewhere Only We Know to Ellie Goulding’s version of Your Song by Elton John.
