It has been a few weeks since HBO Max arrived in the UK, with a number of films now streaming exclusively on the platform.
As well as original 2025 releases such as including One Battle After Another, Sinners and Mickey 17, HBO Max is home to franchises including Harry Potter, Dune and even The Lord of the Rings.
That’s without even mentioning all of the DC films and series which are now available to watch, including the most recent Superman film starring David Corenswet.
Outside of blockbusters , HBO Max also has a huge catalogue of classics including Casablanca, nostalgic watches such as Beetlejuice and more modern favourites such as Crazy, Stupid, Love.

1. One Battle After Another
One Battle After Another is undoubtedly one of the best films on HBO Max in the UK, arriving on the streaming platform after winning several Oscars, including Best Picture. The action comedy stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Bob, a washed up revolutionary living off-grid with his daughter Willa. 2. Sinners
Audiences can also stream Sinners on HBO Max, another of 2025’s most talked about films which broke records with 16 nominations at the Oscars. Directed by Ryan Coogler, Michael B Jordan won Best Actor for his dual role as twin brothers Smoke and Stack, two World War I veterans returning to their hometown to start again, only for a supernatural horror to confront them. | Warner Bros. 3. Harry Potter

4. Superman
Fans of DC Comics will be rejoicing now that HBO Max is available in the UK as films including fan-favourite characters are now available to stream. This includes the most recent Superman film, which was released last summer. Directed by James Gunn, who is the co-CEO of DC Studios, David Corenswet stars as the titular character, with English actor Nicholas Hoult taking on the role of iconic baddie Lex Luthor, while Rachel Brosnahan plays intrepid reporter Lois Lane. | DC/Warner Bros.
