Concern for pensioner missing on Arran

Concern is growing for an elderly woman missing overnight on the Isle of Arran.

Patricia Sloan, 83, was last seen at her home in Lamlash at about 4pm on Tuesday.

Searches are under way for the pensioner, who is about 5ft 2ins with blonde bobbed hair and was wearing a grey top under a beige jacket and blue trousers.

Inspector Ian McColl said: “Patricia is known to often go for walks on the island, however she has never been away for this length of time.

“Her family has failed to locate her as have island and mainland police officers. There is concern for her safety and efforts are continuing in a bid to trace her safe and well.

“I would urge anyone with any information on her whereabouts to contact Irvine police office on 101.”
