9. National Museum of Flight
A short drive away from the resort town of North Berwick, in East Lothian, the National Museum of Flight is dedicated to everything to do with the world of aviation, including the chance to step onboard the iconic Concorde. timdudal1000 said: "This museum is a great day out, fantastic exhibits and interactive educational things to try out. Concorde is the star of the show, housed in a large hanger with a lot of information about it. You can also walk on and have a proper look inside. 10. Verdant Works
Dundee's second entry on this list is Verdant Works - a museum which tells the fascinating story of Dundee’s industrial textile heritage in the atmospheric setting of a beautifully refurbished Mill building which dates back to 1833. Find out about how jute production used to employ 50,000 people in the city. Tarojo said: "A museum based on a textile mill might not sound like the most interesting attraction but don’t be fooled. 11. Drumlanrig Castle
Set on the 80,000 acre Queensberry Estate, in Dumfries and Galloway, Drumlanrig Castle features an internationally renowned art collection contained in one of the finest examples of late 17th century Renaissance architecture in Scotland. 77Morag said: "No matter how many times I return to Drumlanrig I can never quite get over how beautiful the castle and its gardens are."
