The Edinburgh-born multiple gold medal winner is challenging families to cycle a combined total of 100km over the course of eight weeks over the summer.

Participants of the Summer Cycling Challenge can log their progress online at www.highland-spring.com, where they will be rewarded by messages from Sir Chris and virtual trophies when they reach Bronze (30km) and Silver (65km) milestones.

Sir Chris said: “The Highland Spring Summer Cycling Challenge gives families the perfect opportunity to do something free, fun and healthy this summer. There are great cycle paths throughout the UK, and the Challenge is a fantastic way to get out and explore your local area – parts that you probably don’t get to see from a car or a bus.”
