Police probe 'unexplained' death of TV host Kristian Digby

BBC daytime television host Kristian Digby was found dead at his flat yesterday. Police sources said the circumstances of the death of the presenter of To Buy Or Not To Buy were "unexplained".

He was pronounced dead at the scene when ambulance services arrived at his flat in Newham, east London, yesterday morning.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "Police were called to reports of a body of a man in his thirties found at an address in Richford Road, E15." Newham CID are investigating the "unexplained" circumstances, a police source added.

Digby, a property expert, worked on a string of shows, including Double Agents, Living In The Sun, House Swap and Buy It, Sell It, Bank It. He was found at 7:45am.

He presented for the BBC's Holiday Show and was the series director on The Million Pound Property Experiment for BBC2. He also directed films and TV programmes and won a junior Bafta in 1997 for a short film Words Of Deception.

A BBC spokesman said: "Kristian was a much-loved and talented presenter. He brought a real sense of energy and warmth to all the shows he presented for us and will be sorely missed."

Kristian's agent and friend, Jo Wander, said: "I am devastated. He was a lovely guy and a very talented presenter and director."
