Lady Michelle Mone given date for maiden Lords speech

SCOTTISH businesswoman Michelle Mone will make her maiden speech in the House of Lords next month.

The former lingerie mogul confirmed on Twitter that she had been given a first slot to speak on March 7th.

Mone left the board of her bra, lingerie and swimwear firm Ultimo last August when she was made one of 45 new members of the House of Lords.

She was also controversially appointed as the Conservative government’s business start-up czar last year despite criticisms of her business acumen and credentials.
