David Tennant set to star in new BBC drama 'Single Father'

FORMER Doctor Who star David Tennant is to return to Scotland for his first major television role since departing the hit sci-fi show.

He will star in the BBC drama Single Father as Dave, a photographer struggling to raise his four children in Glasgow after the death of his wife.

Despite being recently bereaved, Dave finds himself falling in love with his wife's best friend, leaving him to try and balance his own needs with his children's.

Written by Mick Ford, who also wrote for Ashes to Ashes and William and Mary, filming for Single Father is expected to begin on location in March.
