Video: Outlander's Sam Heughan recites Burns A Red, Red Rose

This is the second video released by the Scottish Government as part of a campaign to celebrate the Bard across the globe.
The “Burnsie” mosaic - a campaign encouraging people to take a selfie with Robert Burns - has also been unveiled by the government.

Cabinet secretary for culture, Europe and external affairs, Fiona Hyslop, said: “Robert Burns’ words are recognized around the world and his poetry, writing and songs continue to be enjoyed by millions. Burns Night is a great opportunity to celebrate Scotland’s Bard and to enjoy Scotland’s poetry, music and wider culture.”
The poem was gifted to Scots singer Pietro Urbani, who put the verses to song, creating a beautiful piece which Bob Dylan is said to have been inspired by.
