Video exclusive: Turner Prize winner Martin Boyce on his set design for Scottish Ballet

Exclusive to Scotsman.com, Turner Prize-winning Scottish sculptor Martin Boyce talks about designing the set for Scottish Ballet’s Dance GB piece Run For It.

Dance GB is a collaboration between Scottish Ballet, English National Ballet and National Dance Company Wales inspired by the 2012 London Olympics.

The companies are performing together for the first time, in a programme featuring three specially commissioned works which will premiere in Glasgow on 19 June, before touring to Cardiff and London.

Run For It, choreographed by Martin Lawrance, was inspired by the power and determination of athletes, and features a sculptural installation designed by Boyce, a graduate of the Glasgow School of Art, whose work Do Words Have Voices won the 2011 Turner Prize.
