Under the Radar: November Lights

Originally from the Three Towns area, northwest of Kilwinning, indie-pop band November Lights now live and study in Glasgow. The trio have supported Fatherson and The LaFontaines and we first encountered them at the XpoNorth festival, then again in August via youth music touring initiative Hit The Road.

Their catchy new single A.U.X is an excellent indication of what to expect from their EP Talk, due out at the end of next month. In support of the release of the EP, the band embark on a mini-tour, performing at Cafe Drummonds in Aberdeen on 9 December, at The Hug and Pint in Glasgow on 10 December and at Sneaky Pete’s in Edinburgh on 11 December. Retro Video Club and Audiokicks join them on tour. Listen at: https://soundcloud.com/november-lights/aux

Olaf Furniss and Derick Mackinnon run the music industry night Born To Be Wide, which next takes place at Edinburgh’s Electric Circus on Thursday, featuring an interview with Celtic Connections founder Donald Shaw. www.borntobewide.co.uk
