Fraser F and Amelia S first met on the Edinburgh music scene nine years ago, but it was only when they found themselves at an enforced standstill last spring that they embarked on a collaboration – Midnight Ambulance. For the most part they have worked together remotely, but they managed to record an impressive debut track with engineer/producer Paul Winton at his analogue studios in Bellshill.

Entitled Black Gloves, it has a hint of Massive Attack’s darker, moodier side but combines this with a meaty rhythm section and interludes of gothy reverb guitar. Selected as single of the week on BBC Alba, and featured on Radio Scotland and Amazing Radio, it is accompanied by a video by the ubiquitous Danger Kill Productions with artwork by Ritchie Collins.
